Get excited Tāmaki we are heading your way!
The ‘Kākahu Pop Up’ team is heading to Tāmaki not once but twice! Come see us at Pasifika this March and Polyfest in April.
You will find us at the Māori Stage so dont be shy whānau come and shout out to our staff, grab your stuff and mau kākahu.
Our team will travel from Kaikohe, just to bring you what you need. As well as kākahu we can give you the latest from around the rohe, and it may even be that we’re whanaunga – that’s always cool. Come and register or come for a yarn, we cant wait to connect and bring a piece of home to you.
But, while I’ve got your attention, a few did you know facts about our kākahu:
- If you’re in town and can’t catch our team at the office, Mobil Kaikohe, owned and operated by Ngāpuhi, also has a full range of our kākahu. They also have some product lines which are exclusive to them so it’s worth a visit.
- We can ship overseas. Yeah, I know, even COVID-19 can’t stop our kākahu getting through. Just over a week to America, shout outs to our whānau over in Arizona’, it’s that simple. We love to see pics of our kākahu travelling the world, so send them through to us whenever you spot it around the globe.
- We’ve changed our courier provider, from our door to your whare, it’s the cheapest you’ll get so don’t let distance be a hinder whānau.
- And did you see the pānui on FB about our local printers Charlee & Stephen nō Ngāti Wai, owner operators of Soil and Sand. We are big supporters of buying local and buying Māori so you get quality and assurance that your hard earned putea goes back to support some of our own. They’re famous whānau! Check out Auriole Ruka’s write up about them for STUFF, here.
