| Kia tū tika ai te whare tapu o Ngāpuhi (That the sacred house of Ngāpuhi stands strong) Are you passionate about governance, risk management, and ensuring accountability? Te Rūnanga ā Iwi o Ngāpuhi is seeking a dedicated individual to Chair our Audit and Risk Committee.
As chair of the committee, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial integrity,
compliance, and risk management practices of our organisation. Your insights and expertise will
contribute directly to our mission of leading the spiritual, social, cultural, environmental and
economic growth of Ngāpuhi. The work of the committee includes, across the Ngāpuhi Group:
● Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
● Assessing and mitigating risks associated with our operations and strategic initiatives.
● Providing guidance on internal controls, policies, and procedures.
● Collaborating with external auditors to ensure thorough and accurate audits.
● Reporting findings and recommendations to the Rūnanga Trustees. We are looking for candidates with:
● An understanding of and commitment to He Whakaputanga o Te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tīreni
and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
● A commitment to upholding the values of Te Rūnanga ā Iwi o Ngāpuhi.
● Experience in risk management, finance, accounting, or auditing..
● Knowledge of governance principles and best practices.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
