The Ngāpuhi Nui Tonu Touch Masters teams are made up of the Mens 30 years plus, Womens 27 years plus and a Mixed 40 years plus team. They applied to the Rūnanga for sponsorship funding to help them meet the costs of attending and competing at the World Masters in 2017 to be held in Auckland later this month. Tour manager Jade Wihongi said the World Masters are where talent and skill are identified and New Zealand teams are selected. “It’s a pathway for all our rangatahi and pakeke to strive for excellence in a sport highly regarded in our country. We thank Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi O Ngāpuhi for your consideration of our application – your assistance in supporting our players to the exposure they deserve on a world stage is hugely appreciated.
Ngā mihi
Jade Wihongi
