Trans-Tasman Cup for young Ngāpuhi siblings
Thank you to the Rūnanga for your contribution to Kai and Anahera’s ongoing competitive golf-playing development. In May they achieved some great results at the Barnwell Golf Course in Sydney. Kai and his partner won their games; Anahera and her partner won their match. We are looking forward to the Australian Open in January next year, which is likely to be at Riverside Oaks Gold Resort, Sydney. The months leading up to the Cup competition – participating in the South Island U19s Tournament, the Club Pennants and NZ Golf Order of Merit Events – contributed to how well Kai and Anahera played. Playing at the international tournament level gives them the opportunity to test themselves against world class competition.
Dan Koni, (Proud father of Kai and Anahera)
