5-days of Rugby League for Anthony

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rūnanga for awarding my son Anthony Solomon the discretionary funding that helped to reduce the financial burden for my family. It was truly a great honour for him to be selected as a recipient.

Anthony was invited to join the Metropolitan West School Sport Team that competed in the 10-11 years Rugby League Invitational Carnival in July at Bundaberg, Queensland. The Met West Team played 5-days of Rugby League. They won the grand final, the single relays and team relays. This is the first time in 60 years a team has won all three events – an amazing outcome for our boys. Without the assistance of the Rūnanga my son would not have been able to compete in such an amazing event so thank you again.
