Ngāpuhi athlete selected for U14 Basketball NZ Development team

Due to Alana’s outstanding performance at the U14 National Talent Camp earlier this year, she was selected for the Development team to tour Melbourne in June. Alana said she loves to play basketball – her other sporting achievements include being selected for the NZ Basketball Academy tour of Las Vegas and the Michael Jordan camp in 2016. In 2015 she was awarded the Hustler Award and was a representative for the Girls Basketball Association U13 Nationals. “I will continue to develop my skills and hope to represent my iwi with pride.”
